Sterling Smith – Bass Guitar/public relations
Sterling was born on Mothers Day in 1958 and raised all his life in church. He felt the call to minister through music at the age of 18, and at the age of 19 was asked to play bass guitar in his first gospel group.
Having been involved in his home church, he also played with various local groups and most recently with “The Chuck Miller Family Singers” for 6 years and “Southern Grace Ministries” for 3 years.
In February of 2006 felt the calling to birth a new ministry as "New Day" music ministries. Sterling lives in Tampa, FL and is the proud father of his daughter, Jennifer. |

LIFE ON THE ROAD
Distinctive memory with New Day:
Putting it all together- Sound System, Music, Songs, Bus, Singers, Getting on Stage
What being a member of New Day means to you:
I know God put it all together so I know I am where I'm supposed to be doing what I'm supposed to be doing for His Kingdom.
Give a short testimony about salvation:
"TRUST..." When you are giving of yourself in the calling that you feel has been instilled in you, you have to trust God that he will take care of you in the bad as well as the good times in your life. Part of true salvation of God is the peace in knowing that He is there!
Likes about the Road:
Being a blessing to God's people; seeing souls saved.
Dislikes about the Road:
Monday Mornings
Something you don't think people know about you:
I really am very funny with a great sense of humor and believe it or not I really can sing very well, really, no I'm serious, it's true, trust me, really.
Who do you admire:
My parents for the way they raised me. Wayne Groves, for he lives what he professes and has truly been an inspiration to me in the forming of NEW DAY MUSIC MINISTRIES, INC. |
